The Lymm Rushbearing:
On Saturday, upwards of 60 members and friends of the "Hope of Appleton" lodge, I.O.G,T went to Lymm as a picnic party in brakes supplied by Mr J.H.Lee, Victoria Road.

An opportunity was afforded of witnessing Lymm "Rush-bearing", which consisted of a number of men, dressed in grotesque costumes parading the streets, and engaged in wht was termed "Morris dancing".
