Lymm Wakes
This festival was announced on Saturday last by a number of gaily dressed men going round the parish morris dancing.

Between one and two o'clock a small, but very neat and well build rushcart, preceded by the Lymm brass band playing in their merriest strain, started from the house of Mr. W. Mantle, where it had been built, and perambulated the parish and outlying districts.
As this is the first rush-cart for several years past, and it has been built in the new parish of Oughtrington, it behoves the inhabitants of Lymm to take a more lively interest in the matter if the old-fashioned custom, now restored, is to be continuued.
