Lymm Rushbearing
This annual merry-making which commences to-day, is to be deprived of many of its attractions owing to the growing unpopularity of the festival amongst the peaceable inhabitants of the village
On the present occasion there is to be no rush cart nor morris dancing, and the police are taking stringent measures to prevent any obstruction of the highway by stalls or shows, several of which have already taken up their quarters near the Cross.

Local Board Resolution
Resolution passed at the meeting of the last Local Board...   ...have been posted in conspicuous paces in the village.
Notice is hereby given that, by order of the Lymm Local Board, no person will be allowed at the ensuing rushbearing to erect any booth, stall, or standing, or cause any other obstruction on any part of yhe highways in or around Lymm Village. Any person acting contrary to this order will be liable to legal proceedings
