Lymm - The Rushbearing
On Saturday, a rushcart dressed with garlands and flowers, was drawn by
four grey horses through the village in commemoration of this ancient
custom. A long procession followed, and many individuals in it were decked
with ribbons and flowers. The morris dancers kept the villagers alive
during the evening...
